Cover: Gregory Porter’s sixth studio album, All Rise, features original compositions in a program that explores various aspects of love. Working with producer Troy Miller, Porter has crafted a stunning, ambitious album that includes a horn section, a 10-member choir and the London Symphony Orchestra Strings. Powerful songs in the program include “Faith In Love,” “Dad Gone Thing” and “If Love Is Overrated.” A unique vocalist with a mighty baritone, the Grammy winner counts Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and especially Nat “King” Cole among his influences.
